About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Periva (“Periva”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit periva.in, create a Periva account, earn or redeem Periva Points, refer friends or contact us.
Periva is the data fiduciary for this personal data. We handle it in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the rules made under it, and the Information Technology Act, 2000, as they apply to us.

Personal data we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and, if you choose to give it, your mobile number.
- Redemption details: your UPI ID, or bank account number, IFSC and account holder name, when you redeem points to UPI or a bank account. We may ask for information to confirm the account is in your name. For gift vouchers, we record which voucher was issued to you.
- Shopping activity: when you click through to a store, we record a click reference, the store and the time. Stores and affiliate networks report back order details such as the order reference, order value, category and status.
- Referral activity: your referral link, and which accounts joined through it and whether their first order was confirmed. We do not ask you to upload your contacts.
- Messages: what you send us through the contact form or by email, including order documents you attach.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type and pages visited, recorded in server logs for security and to keep the site running.
We never ask for card numbers, UPI PINs, net banking passwords or OTPs.
How we use it
- To create and run your Periva account.
- To track purchases, match reported orders to your account and credit Periva Points.
- To process redemptions to UPI, bank accounts and gift vouchers.
- To credit referral points and check that referrals follow our rules.
- To answer your questions and raise missing-order claims with stores and affiliate networks.
- To send service messages about your account, points and changes to our terms.
- To prevent fraud, duplicate accounts and misuse, and to keep our systems secure.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We send marketing emails only if you agree to receive them, and each one includes a way to unsubscribe.
Consent
We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you create an account, redeem points or send us a message, and for other legitimate uses permitted by law, such as meeting a legal obligation.
You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us. This does not affect processing that already took place. If you withdraw consent that we need to run your account, we may no longer be able to track orders or process redemptions.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only as needed to run Periva:
- Partner stores and affiliate networks: a click reference so your order can be matched to your account. We do not give them your name, email or redemption details for tracking. When we raise a missing-order claim, we share the order details you give us.
- Payment and voucher providers: to send transfers to your UPI ID or bank account, and to issue gift vouchers.
- Service providers: companies that host our website, store data or send email for us, under contracts that require them to protect it.
- Authorities: where the law requires, or to protect the rights and safety of Periva, our members or others.
Some service providers may process data outside India. Any such transfer is made only as permitted under Indian law.
How long we keep it
We keep account, points and redemption records while your account is open, and afterwards for as long as needed to settle pending points, handle disputes and meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations. Support messages are kept while needed to resolve your request. After that, we delete the data or make it anonymous.
Your rights
Under Indian data protection law you can:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- ask us to correct, complete or update it;
- ask us to erase personal data we no longer need to keep;
- withdraw consent;
- nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to;
- raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied with the response, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Email support@periva.in with “Privacy request” in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Security
We protect personal data with reasonable security measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access and providers with their own security controls. No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
Periva is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly open accounts for, or collect personal data from, anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
Cookies
How we use cookies, and how partner stores use cookies to track orders, is explained in our Cookie Policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our service or the law changes. We will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, email account holders before the change takes effect.
